Nursery

Summer Term 2023/24

In Nursery after the Easter holidays, we will be learning about the changes to our environment during the season of Spring. We will be learning about different types of animals as well as doing a Dangerous Dinosaurs project!

Your child will find out about prehistoric animals that lived on Earth. They will learn facts about dinosaurs and discover how big some of these giant creatures were. They will learn about the difference between carnivores and herbivores.

They will also find out about the animals that lived after the dinosaurs and which modern-day animals have prehistoric relatives.

Here are some things you could do with your child to read up on the topic:

Go onto the  Natural History Museum website and look at interesting facts about dinosaurs together.

Go to the CBeebies  Dinosaurs website and explore the games and videos together.

Look up interesting dinosaur facts to share with the class.

Share and discuss the Did you know? resource.

Spring Term 2023/24

During this half term we will be looking at two different topics within our main topic of; “Superhero’s”. We will begin with “People who help us” where children will be learning about all the different professions. This will help them to make connections between themselves and the outside world. We are also looking at “Our Local Community”, with the aim of making them more aware of the different jobs and roles people take on in their own homes, in school and in the wider community.

Be part of our community.

If you have anything interesting at home connected with our topics, we would love to borrow it for a shot while. Picture and story books are very welcome. Please name anything you lend.

On the other hand, if you want to visit our class and share your profession with our little Ducklings, send an email through the office and we will be delighted to have you.
